Edmonson, Superintendent Troop I Press Release September 9, 2010 Broussard Man Dies From Injuries Sustained in Crash Intracoastal City- Early this morning, a Broussard man died as a result of injuries he sustained in a crash yesterday on LA 333 at Turtle Road in Intracoastal City. According to investigating troopers, on September 8, 2010, shortly after 5:00 p.m., a 2005 Dodge truck driven by 38-year-old Marcus Anthony of Broussard, LA, was traveling east on Turtle Road. As Anthony was crossing LA 333, his vehicle was struck on the driver side door by a 2006 International truck driven by 24-year-old Glenn Robichaux of Gheens, LA. Robichaux was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Anthony was transported by Acadian Air-Med to a local hospital in critical condition. At 2:40 a.m. this morning, troopers were informed by the hospital that Anthony had succumbed to his injures. Toxicology samples were obtained from both drivers and have been submitted to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab for analysis. This crash remains under investigation.
