Troopers Makes Another Large

Marijuana Seizure


December 16, 2008

On December 15, 2008, a Louisiana State Police – Troop I trooper, conducted a traffic stop on a 2005 Budget Rental Truck for a traffic violation, on Interstate 10 near milepost 113 within St. Martin Parish. The driver was identified as Theresa Ford and the passenger Justin Cole, both of Trinity, Texas. The trooper asked for and was granted permission, to search the vehicle. During the search, the trooper located thirteen boxes containing forty-nine bundles of Marijuana. The Marijuana had a combined weight of 1,189 pounds, with an estimated street value of $1,182,420.00. Ford and Cole were both booked into the St. Martin Parish Jail on the charge of Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana.
