Edmonson, Superintendent Acadia Parish Crash Kills Eunice Resident January 2, 2009 Louisiana State Police – Troop I is currently investigating single vehicle fatal crash on LA 97 near LA 368 within Acadia Parish. This crash occurred around 5:00pm today, when sixty-one year old Daniel Fuselier of Eunice, La, was traveling north on La 97. Fuselier drove off the right side of the roadway, then steered left back onto the roadway, causing the vehicle to rotate clockwise and overturn ejecting Fuselier. Fuselier was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Acadia Parish Coroners Office. A passenger in the vehicle twenty-seven year old Kelli Robin of Eunice, La, sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. It is unknown at this time if Alcohol/Drugs are a contributing factor in this crash. This is the second fatal crash and the second fatality of 2009. “Alcohol or Drugs, Impairment is Impairment!
