Checkpoint

January 5, 2009

On Wednesday, January 7, 2009, Louisiana State Police - Troop I will conduct a safety checkpoint on LA 13 between Eunice and Mamou within Evangeline Parish.

Troopers will be aggressively looking for vehicles that are not insured and will be removing uninsured vehicles from the roadway. Troopers will also be looking for a number of other violations.

Reminder, Louisiana State Law requires that you carry proof of insurance in the vehicle at all times. If you fail to comply with this law, your vehicle may be towed away with the driver receiving a citation.

Louisiana State Police has a zero tolerance policy for people who choose to operate a motor vehicle while impaired, un-restrained or without insurance.
