Edmonson, Superintendent Unrestrained Driver Dies In Crash June 22, 2008 Louisiana State Police – Troop I investigated a single vehicle fatal crash, which occurred on LA 724 near Breaux Road in Lafayette parish. The vehicle (2005 Honda Accord) was headed west on LA 724 when for unknown reason, the vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway, entered the ditch and struck the embankment. The vehicle then overturned and struck a utility pole. Both occupants were ejected. The eighteen year old driver, Michael Davis, of Abbeville, La. was transported to Lafayette General Hospital where he later died from his injuries. The passenger, eighteen year old Clayton Sinegal of Duson, La. was transported to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital with moderate to severe injuries.
