| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE News Release Bicyclist Killed in Early Morning Crash February 26, 2008 Louisiana State Police - Troop I is investigating a fatality crash which occurred on LA 92 near Cade within St. Martin Parish at 5:37 a.m. this morning. Twenty one year old Abraham LeBlanc of St. Martinville, was riding his bicycle, traveling westbound in the eastbound lane of LA 92. Twenty nine year old Scottie George of New Iberia, LA was operating an early model Ford Explorer westbound on LA 92. The George vehicle attempted to pass an unknown vehicle traveling in the same direction. Abraham LeBlanc was struck from the rear in the eastbound lane. LeBlanc was thrown from the bicycle and came to rest in a ditch on the south side of LA 92. LeBlanc was pronounced dead at the scene, by the St. Martin Parish Coroners Office. “Alcohol or Drugs, Impairment is Impairment!
