| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE News Release Iberia Parish Checkpoint Results March 7, 2008 March 6, 2008, Louisiana State Police - Troop I, conducted a Safety Checkpoint from 7:00 am to 11:00 am, on La 86 within Iberia Parish. Troopers were aggressively looking for vehicles that were not insured and those vehicles were removed from the roadway. Troopers also found numerous other violations. A total of 500 vehicles were screened during the checkpoint. The following violations were observed by troopers. 11- Notice of Insurance Violations 11- License Plates Seized 8 - Window Tint Violations 6 - Expired MVI Violations 8 - Violation Notices These checkpoints are not to generate citations. Louisiana State Police are more concerned with motorist voluntary complying with the Louisiana State Laws.
