| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE News Release Iberia Parish Crash Kills One Person January 21, 2008 Louisiana State Police investigated a three vehicle fatality crash on US 90 near Ross Road in Iberia Parish. The crash occurred at approximately 6:20 p.m. on January 20, 2008. A vehicle driven by fifty nine year old Donival Theriot of Franklin, La, struck another vehicle broadside, driven by sixty six year old Arian Pitre of New Iberia, La which was traveling east on US 90. Theriot attempted to cross over the eastbound travel lanes when he stuck the Pitre vehicle. After the initial impact, Theriot’s vehicle became disabled in the eastbound travel lanes. Theriot exited his vehicle, when a third vehicle, driven by forty two year old Sherry Crosby of Luling, La, struck Theriot’s vehicle causing his vehicle to rotate clockwise, striking Theriot in the roadway. Theriot was transported to a local hospital where he died shortly after. Troopers do suspect Theriot’s alcohol involvement may have been a contributing factor to this fatal crash. Six others were transported from the scene to local hospitals with minor to moderate injuries. “Alcohol or Drugs, Impairment is Impairment!
