| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE News Release Iberia Parish Checkpoint Results January 31, 2008 January 30, 2008, Louisiana State Police Troop I, conducted a Safety Checkpoint from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., on La 182 near milepost 97 within Iberia Parish. Troopers were aggressively looking for vehicles that were not insured and those vehicles were removed from the roadway. Troopers also found numerous other violations, during the checkpoint. A total of 40 citations were issued. The following violations were observed by troopers. 6- Notice of Insurance Violations 6- License Plates Seized 1 – Child Restraint Violation 10 - Window Tint Violations 7 - Expired MVI Stickers 4 - Driving Under Suspension Violations 1 - Vehicle Registration Violations 11 - Violation Notices Four Vehicles towed for No Insurance. These checkpoints are not to generate citations. Louisiana State Police are more concerned with motorist voluntary complying with the Louisiana State Laws.
