| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE News Release Troop I to Conduct Three Checkpoints This Week Louisiana State Police Troop I will conduct three separate checkpoints this week, within St. Mary, St. Martin and Acadia Parishes. Troopers will be aggressively looking for vehicles that are not insured and removing those vehicles from the roadway. Troopers will also be looking for a number of other violations. On February 12, 2008, troopers will be in St. Mary Parish on LA 182, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. On February 13, 2008, troopers will be in Iberia Parish on LA 31 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. On February 14, 2008, troopers will be in Acadia Parish on LA 35 between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Reminder, Louisiana State Law requires you to carry proof of insurance in the vehicle at all times. If you fail to comply with this law your vehicle may be towed away and the driver receiving a citation. Louisiana State Police has a zero tolerance for the people who choose to operate a motor vehicle impaired, non-restrained and without insurance. These drivers will be cited or arrested NO EXCUSES.
