| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE News Release Acadia Parish Checkpoint Results March 17, 2008 March 13, 2008, Louisiana State Police - Troop I, conducted a Safety Checkpoint from 7:30 am to 10:30 am, on La 13 near milepost 22 within Acadia Parish. Troopers were looking for vehicles that were not insured and those vehicles were removed from the roadway. Troopers also found numerous other violations. The following violations were observed by troopers. 8- Notice of Insurance Violations 8- License Plates Seized 1- Seat belt Violation 2- Vehicle Registration Violations 5- Window Tint Violations 10- Expired MVI Violations 6 - Violation Notices These checkpoints are not to generate citations. Louisiana State Police are more concerned with motorist voluntary complying with the Louisiana State Laws.
