Impaired Driver Checkpoint

March 18, 2008

On March 20, 2008, Louisiana State Police – Troop I will Conduct an Impaired Driver Checkpoint within Lafayette Parish. This checkpoint will be conducted between the hours of 9:00 pm and 3:00 am. All drivers that travel through the checkpoint will be screened for alcohol and drug impairment. Any driver that is impaired will be removed from the roadway.

This checkpoint is part of the ongoing effort to rid our roadways of impaired drivers and to make the public aware of the dangers associated with impaired driving.
