St. Landry Parish Checkpoint
Results


April 29, 2008

On April 29, 2008, Louisiana State Police -Troop I, conducted a Safety Checkpoint from 7:00 am to 10:00 am on US 167 near Nuba, within St. Landry Parish. Troopers were aggressively looking for vehicles that were not insured and those vehicles were removed from the roadway. Troopers also found numerous other violations, during the checkpoint. A total of 30 citations were issued.

The following violations were observed by troopers.

8- Notice of Insurance Violations
8- License Plates Seized
1 – Child Restraint Violation
2 - Window Tint Violations
5 - Vehicle Registration Violations
14 - Expired MVI Stickers

Three Vehicles towed for No Insurance.

These checkpoints are not to generate citations. Louisiana State Police are more concerned with motorist voluntary complying with the Louisiana State Laws.
