| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE News Release Lafayette Parish Safety Checkpoint March 18, 2008 On Wednesday, March 19, 2008, Louisiana State Police - Troop I will conduct a safety checkpoint on US 90 between La 343 and Hanks Road within Lafayette Parish. Troopers will be aggressively looking for vehicles that are not insured and removing those vehicles from the roadway. Troopers will also be looking for a number of other violations. Reminder, Louisiana State Law requires you to carry proof of insurance in the vehicle at all times. If you fail to comply with this law your vehicle may be towed away and the driver receiving a citation. Louisiana State Police has a zero tolerance for the people who choose to operate a motor vehicle impaired, non-restrained and without insurance.
