| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE News Release Motorcycle Crash Kills Lafayette Man April 2, 2008 On April 1, 2008, at around 10:30 pm, Louisiana State Police -Troop I investigated a single vehicle motorcycle crash on La 733 near Riverwood Road, which claimed the life of a Lafayette man. Forty five year old Timothy Mosing of Lafayette, La, was southbound on La 733, when for unknown reasons traveled off the roadway onto the right shoulder and into the ditch for approximately 300' before striking a private driveway embankment. Mosing came to rest off the roadway and the motorcycle continued an additional 400' before coming to rest in a field. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor; however, high speeds are believed to be a major contributing factor in this crash. Mosing was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lafayette Parish Coroners Office. This is the tenth fatal crash and tenth fatality, Troop I has investigated thus far in 2008. “Alcohol or Drugs, Impairment is Impairment!
