| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE News Release St. Landry Parish Safety Checkpoint April 28, 2008 On Tuesday, April 29, 2008, Louisiana State Police - Troop I will conduct a safety checkpoint on US 167 near Nuba, within St. Landry Parish. Troopers will be aggressively looking for vehicles that are not insured and removing those vehicles from the roadway. Troopers will also be looking for a number of other violations. Reminder, Louisiana State Law requires you to carry proof of insurance in the vehicle at all times. If you fail to comply with this law your vehicle may be towed away with the driver receiving a citation. Louisiana State Police has a zero tolerance policy for people who choose to operate a motor vehicle impaired, non-restrained or without insurance. These drivers will be cited or arrested NO EXCUSES.
