| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE News Release Unrestrained Passenger Killed In Crash April 18, 2008 Shortly after 6:00 am this morning, Louisiana State Police – Troop I responded to a two vehicle crash on La 13 near La 374 within Evangeline Parish. Upon arrival, troopers found the two vehicle head-on collision had claimed the life of an unrestrained passenger. Preliminary investigation revealed that twenty nine year old Joseph Cashen of Eunice, La, was operating a 2001 Jeep northbound La 13. For unknown reasons Cashen crossed the center line and traveled into the path of southbound 1993 Chevrolet truck, which was being operated by Willie Shillow of Mamou, La. Cashen and a passenger in his vehicle were transported to local hospitals with serious injuries. Sixty two year old Felix Shillow, a passenger in the Chevrolet truck was not restrained and was killed in the crash. Alcohol is not believed to be a contributing factor in this crash and charges are pending on Cashen. “Alcohol or Drugs, Impairment is Impairment!
