| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE News Release Single Vehicle Crash Leaves a St .Martinville Man Dead April 21, 2008 Louisiana State Police – Troop I is investigating a single vehicle fatal crash on La 680 at Neuville Anthony Road within St. Martin Parish. Seventy two year old Albert Ryes of St. Martinville, La, was operating a 1993 Buick Lesabre, northbound on La 680 approaching Neuville Anthony Road. For unknown reasons Ryes traveled off the right side of the roadway and into the ditch. Ryes’s vehicle then struck an embankment to a private driveway, causing the vehicle to overturn. Ryes suffered fatal injuries and his passenger suffered minor to moderate injuries. Both were transported to local hospitals. Alcohol is not believed to be a contributing factor in this crash.
