Edmonson, Superintendent Fatal Crash Kills A Leonville Resident January 18, 2009 Louisiana State Police – Troop I investigated a single vehicle fatal crash on LA 359 within St. Landry Parish that claimed the life of a Leonville resident. The single vehicle crash occurred around 10:00pm last night on LA 359 west of LA 10. Forty-seven year old Yvonne Lanclos of Leonville, La, was operating a 2005 Jeep Wrangler south on LA 359, when for unknown reasons drove off the left side of the roadway and struck a culvert. The Jeep overturned as it came to a rest in the ditch. Lanclose, was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was transported to a local hospital where she later died. Investigating troopers believe that alcohol may have a contributing factor in the crash. Test results are pending at the LSP Crime Lab.
