Edmonson, Superintendent Troop I Press Release April 6, 2010 Eunice Woman Killed in Crash Acadia Parish- Yesterday, troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop I investigated a two vehicle crash on LA 13 north of LA 370, that claimed the life of a Eunice woman. According to the investigating troopers, on April 5, 2010, at about 6:45 p.m., a 2000 Lincoln LS, driven by thirty-six year old Adrienne Reed of Eunice, was traveling north on LA 13. Forty-seven year old Jesse Collins of Crowley was traveling south in a Nissan truck. For unknown reasons, Reed’s vehicle crossed the center line and struck Collins’ vehicle head on. Reed was not wearing a seatbelt and was transported to a local area hospital with severe injuries. Upon arrival at the hospital, Reed was pronounced dead. Toxicology samples were taken from both drivers and were submitted to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab for analysis. The crash remains under investigation. This is the 17th fatal crash and the 19th fatality Troop I has investigated this year. For More Information Contact: | |||
