Mother and Father Charged With Aggravated Incest


Vermilion Parish- During an ongoing investigation into various child sexual abuse related offenses, troopers with Louisiana State Police Region II Criminal Investigation Division arrested a husband and wife and charged them with aggravated incest.

During the month of January, troopers gathered information that indicated that Kristie and Adam Marceaux, both of Kaplan, LA, had engaged in inappropriate sexual activity with a juvenile relative. Troopers were able to obtain some of the information from concerned citizens in the community. Based on the evidence and information they gathered, troopers secured an arrest warrant for both Adam and Kristie Marceaux.

Today troopers served the arrest warrants on both individuals at the Vermilion Parish Correctional Center for the following charges:

Adam Marceaux 29 years old of Kaplan, LA one count Aggravated Incest

Kristie Marceaux 35 years old of Kaplan, LA one count Aggravated Incest

Both individuals were still incarcerated on previous charges stemming from this case.

Six Vermilion Parish Residents Arrested on Various Sexual Abuse Charges

Vermilion Parish- Today, troopers with Louisiana State Police Region II Criminal Investigation Division arrested six Vermilion Parish residents on various child sexual abuse related offenses.

In November, troopers began an investigation into allegations of sexual battery and carnal knowledge of a juvenile in Vermilion Parish. During the investigation, troopers, and agents from Louisiana Probation and Parole worked closely to obtain information about the case. Troopers were provided with information outlining years of abuse at the hands of the juvenile’s mother, thirty five year old Kristie Marceaux of Kaplan, other adult’s, and Marceaux’s associates. Based on the findings of their investigation, troopers were able to secure arrest warrants for subjects residing in Vermilion Parish for an assortment of child sexual related offenses.

This morning, and throughout the day, troopers, assisted by Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Kaplan Police Department, began serving the arrest warrants. During the arrests, four children were taken into the State’s care by counselors with the Office of Community Services, because the mother and step father were arrested. The following individuals were arrested without incident and booked into the Vermilion Parish Correctional Center on the charges listed below:

Jeremy Kline 23 years old of Kaplan, LA Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile

Kristie Marceaux 35 years old of Kaplan, LA Aggravated Rape

Ben Hargrave 21 years old of Kaplan, LA Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile

Justin Harris 21 years old of Kaplan, LA Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile

Brennan Lebouef 23 years old of Kaplan, LA Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile

The investigation is ongoing, and additional arrests are expected. Anyone having any information concerning the sexual exploitation of children is asked to contact their local sheriff’s office.
