Delcambre Couple Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography

Yesterday, troopers with Louisiana State Police Region 2 detectives assigned to the Lafayette Field Office arrested a Delcambre couple for possession of child pornography.

In March 2010, troopers obtained information indicating that 33-year-old Christopher Duhon and his fiancé 24-year-old Christina Bourque, both of Delcambre, LA, were possibly in possession of child pornography. Troopers conducted surveillance of the couple and were able to gather enough evidence to obtain a search warrant for the residence they were living in.

On April 14, 2010, troopers executed the search warrant at the house. During the execution of the search warrant, troopers seized two computers and located several images depicting child pornography.

Prior to troopers obtaining arrest warrants, the couple fled the country. After obtaining arrest warrants for the pair, troopers began working closely with Immigration Customs Enforcement and the U.S. Marshal’s Service to locate the couple.

On August 9, 2010, Duhon returned to the country. He was taken into custody in Seattle, WA, by the Seattle Port Police Department. Duhon waived extradition and troopers flew to Seattle to take him into custody.

Prior to leaving to arrest Duhon, troopers learned that Bourque had returned to the country on July 10, 2010. She had been taken into custody at the Dallas/Fort Worth airport by the U.S. Marshal’s. Troopers flew to Dallas and took custody of Bourque yesterday as well.

Troopers booked both individuals into the Vermilion Parish Jail last night for possession of child pornography. This case remains under investigation.

This case was part of “Operation Child Watch.” The mission of “Operation Child Watch” is to rescue children from the potential abuse of child predators who prey on the innocence of a child. Louisiana State Police will continue to work closely with other law enforcement agencies to locate and arrest these individuals.
