Edmonson, Superintendent Troop I Press Release May 23, 2010 **UPDATE** State Police Identify Motorcyclist Louisiana State Police Troop I has identified the motorcyclist involved in a fatal crash on LA 13 on May 22, 2010. State Police say 60-year-old Miles Conner was killed when he struck a Chevrolet truck that turned in front of his motorcycle. The crash remains under investigation. May 22, 2010 Motorcyclist Killed in Crash Today, Louisiana State Police Troop I investigated a two vehicle crash on LA 13 north of Eunice that claimed the life of a motorcyclist. According to investigating troopers, on May 22, 2010, shortly after 12:00 p.m., a 2000 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling north on LA 13. A 2002 Chevrolet truck, driven by 34-year-old Danny Johnson of Eunice, LA, was traveling south on LA 13. Johnson turned within hazardous proximity to the motorcycle. The motorcycle struck Johnson’s vehicle. The driver of the motorcycle was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. Johnson was not injured in the crash. Toxicology samples were taken from both drivers. The results are pending at the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab. The name of the motorcycle operator is being withheld until next of kin can be notified. The crash remains under investigation. For More Information Contact:
