Unrestrained Driver Killed in Crash

St. Mary Parish- Last night, Louisiana State Police Troop I investigated a single vehicle crash on LA 326 that claimed the life of a Charenton man.

According to investigating troopers, on May 27, 2010, at 11:15 p.m., 37-year old Brian Millet of Charenton, LA was driving west on LA 326 at Charlie Lane in a 1999 Ford truck. For unknown reasons the vehicle traveled off the left side of the road, struck a culvert, and overturned. Millet was not restrained and was ejected from the vehicle. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Toxicology samples were obtained and sent to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab for analysis. The results are pending and the crash remains under investigation.
