On February 2, 2009, US Postal Inspectors contacted Louisiana State Police after intercepting a suspicious mail package, which was destined for 210 East Beech Street in Ville Platte, La. After obtaining a search warrant, investigators opened the package and found that it contained eleven pounds of Marijuana. State Police Narcotic agents from the Lafayette Field Office and the US Postal Inspectors, conducted a controlled delivery to the Beech Street residence in Ville Platte. Adam Toussaint of Ville Platte was arrested after he took possession of the package from postal inspectors posing as a rural mail carrier. A search of the residence also resulted in the seizure of more Marijuana and a small amount of unidentified pills. During the investigation, Toussaint identified his brother, Lazaro Seriale, as the intended recipient of the Marijuana. Seriale told agents that he arranged the shipment of Marijuana to be delivered to the residence. Toussaint and Seriale were arrested and booked into the Evangeline Parish Jail and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana. “Alcohol or Drugs, Impairment is Impairment!
