Dies in Crash

April 17, 2009

Louisiana State Police – Troop I is investigating a one vehicle fatal crash in Iberia Parish, which left a Morgan City man dead.

The fatal crash occurred at around 4:30 am this morning, on US 90 LA 675. Twenty-five year-old Timothy Hill of Morgan City, La, was operating a 2008 Toyota truck, eastbound on US 90, when for unknown reasons traveled off the roadway. The truck then struck a ditch embankment and overturned. Hill was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the truck. The truck came to rest upside down in the ditch.

This is the nineteenth fatal crash and the twenty-third fatality Troop I has investigated thus far in 2009.
