Hit And Run Crash

Louisiana State Police – Troop I is investigating a Hit and Run fatal crash on LA 339 near Fortune Road.

Investigators believe the crash may have occurred sometime late yesterday evening, as the pedestrian was walking south on LA 339. An unknown vehicle struck the pedestrian and the vehicle then fled the scene. A motorist observed the victims body on the side of the roadway this morning and notified authorities.

The identity of the pedestrian is being withheld until next of kin can be notified.

Investigators ask that if you have any information on this deadly crash, please call Troop I at 337-262-5880.
