Edmonson, Superintendent October 25, 2009 Driver Arrested in Hit and Run Crash New Iberia- Today, Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop I arrested the driver involved in a hit and run crash that left one man dead Friday night. After receiving an anonymous tip, Troopers located the vehicle used in a hit and run crash that killed Russel Lewis. Troopers found the molten red 2005 Dodge Dakota at 3104 Curtis Lane Lot #199 in New Iberia. Troopers were able to obtain a search warrant for the vehicle, and based on the evidence they obtained, Troopers secured an arrest warrant for the owner of the vehicle. Troopers arrested forty-three year old Lisa Mayon on charges of Hit and Run driving, having an unsafe vehicle, and no insurance. Mayon was booked into the Iberia Parish Jail with no bond.
