Edmonson, Superintendent HEADQUARTERS - NEWS RELEASE May 6, 2010 Man Arrested on Child Pornography and Marijuana Charges Blanks, LA – Louisiana State Troopers, with the assistance of Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff’s Deputies and Livonia Police Officers, executed a search warrant at the residence of Aaron I. Walk (W/M, age 21) of 8182 Hwy in Blanks yesterday. The search warrant was the result of a child pornography investigation conducted by Louisiana State Police Detectives in Baton Rouge. Once inside the residence, detectives located and seized computer belonging to Walk. The computer contained several images indicative of child pornography and Walk admitted to downloading the images. While searching the residence, Detectives discovered a small amount of Marijuana in Walk’s bedroom. Walk also admitted that the marijuana was his. Detectives arrested Walk and booked him into the Pointe Coupee Parish Jail on charges of Pornography Involving Juveniles and Possession of Marijuana. Louisiana State Troopers will continue to work in cooperation with other agencies throughout the state to ensure that our children are looked after. Through “Operation Child Watch”, Troopers will continue to pursue child predators and put them away so that they cannot continue to prey on the innocent children we have an obligation to protect.
