TROOP I NEWS RELEASE Unrestrained Breaux Bridge Man Killed in St. Martin Parish Crash Cecilia – Shortly after 8:30 p.m. last night, Troopers with Troop I began investigating a single-vehicle fatality crash on LA 31 near Brown Drive. The crash took the life of 57-year-old Bryan Hebert. The preliminary investigation revealed Hebert was traveling north on LA 31 in a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado. For unknown reasons, his vehicle ran off of the roadway to the right after entering a left curve. Hebert overcorrected to the left, crossed the southbound lane, and his vehicle began to roll over after it exited the highway. Hebert suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased by the St. Martin Parish Coroner’s Office. Impairment is unknown as a factor in the crash and a toxicology report is pending. This crash remains under investigation and there is no further information at this time. Louisiana State Troopers wish to remind motorists to always make good decisions while in a motor vehicle. Never drive while impaired, fatigued, or distracted, always ensure every occupant is properly restrained, and follow all traffic laws. While not all crashes are survivable, taking simple precautions such as these can often mean the difference between life and death.
