TROOP I NEWS RELEASE Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash in Vermilion Parish Perry – Shortly before 4:30 a.m. on July 10, 2020, Louisiana State Police Troop I was notified of a crash involving a pedestrian on LA Hwy 82 near Lucie St in Vermilion Parish. The preliminary investigation revealed a pedestrian was standing in center of LA 82, just north of the Perry Bridge, when he was struck by an unknown vehicle. After striking the pedestrian, the unknown vehicle continued on and fled the scene. The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
