Troop I News Release October 9, 2015 LSP Detectives Arrest Maurice Man for Soliciting Murder Abbeville, LA. – On October 9, 2015, Louisiana State Police Detectives along with the Abbeville Police Department arrested a Maurice man after they learned the man was soliciting to have his wife killed. Immediately upon learning of the murder solicitation, LSP Detectives and Abbeville Police began looking into conducting undercover surveillance on 45 year old Harlow Hutchinson, of Maurice. After gaining sufficient information relating to the murder solicitation, Detectives obtained an arrest warrant through the 15th Judicial District Court charging Hutchinson with LRS 14:28.1 – Solicitation of murder. Hutchinson was arrested on a traffic stop by the Abbeville Police Department and transported to the Vermilion Parish Jail for booking.
