State Police Detectives Unravel Drug-Mailing Case

BATON ROUGE – On Tuesday, May 19, Louisiana State Police Detectives received a tip from an anonymous source alleging the trafficking of prescription pills through the mail. State Troopers assigned to the Criminal Investigative Division in Baton Rouge intercepted the package and delivered it to its intended destination at 13777 Shady Hollow Drive in Denham Springs. The package was addressed to Heather Raveling (W/F, age 31) of Denham Springs. Troopers delivered the package to Raveling, obtained consent to search the package from Raveling, and discovered 50 dosage units of Hydrocodone (10mg) enclosed in the package. Raveling then admitted to ordering the pills through the mail. Troopers arrested Raveling and booked her into the Livingston Parish Jail on charges on Possession with Intent to Distribute Narcotics (Schedule III).
