Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP A - NEWS RELEASE Troopers Support Polar Plunge for Special Olympics BATON ROUGE – Every year, Louisiana State Police is a proud supporter of the Louisiana Special Olympics. This year, Bass Pro Shop will host a “Polar Plunge” to help raise money to support the Special Olympics program. State Troopers will be on-hand at this event to support the families and participants of this year’s Special Olympics. The Polar Plunge will be held on Saturday, March 7 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bass Pro Shop located in Denham Springs near I-12 and Range Ave. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. This will be a fun-filled event and Troopers are hoping for a large turnout. Registration for the Polar Plunge can be completed online at www.laso.org. Additional information regarding ways the public can support the Louisiana Special Olympics can be found at this website. Please come out to the Denham Springs Bass Pro Shop on Saturday, March 7 and support this worthy cause. With over 10,000 Special Olympics participants in Louisiana alone, this organization brings hope and happiness to tens of thousands of family members, friends, and most importantly, those participating.
