| LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE News Release St. Landry Parish Crash Kills One Person January 12, 2008 Louisiana State Police Troop I investigated a one vehicle fatal crash in St. Landry Parish which left one man dead. At approximately 2:00 a.m. on January 12, 2008, Twenty three year old John Eric Brasseaux of Chataignier, La, was traveling west on LA 104 near Prairie Ronde. Brasseaux traveled off the roadway to the right then overcorrected to the left. Brasseaux’s vehicle crossed both travel lanes and entered the ditch on the south side of the roadway and struck several small trees. The truck then overturned several times coming to rest on its roof. Brasseaux was not restrained in the vehicle and alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in this crash. “Alcohol or Drugs, Impairment is Impairment!
