| News Release – Headquarters January 1, 2013 – UPDATE The Louisiana State Police was not called upon to investigate a single fatal crash statewide in the critical hours of the New Year’s Eve Holiday. This includes the evening of New Year’s Eve and the early morning hours of New Year’s Day. One fatal crash was investigated by Troop A (Baton Rouge) during the afternoon hours of December 31st. The single vehicle crash occurred in East Feliciana Parish and claimed the life of a 44 year old Baton Rouge resident. December 30, 2012 A New Year’s Eve Checklist BATON ROUGE – A new year is soon upon us and it is important that we close out 2012 and start 2013 right by making safety a priority. As people across Louisiana prepare to celebrate New Year’s Eve, a safe and enjoyable evening starts with good planning. Make sure that you take the proper steps to get you and your family and friends home safely. New Year’s Eve Checklist:
