| HEADQUARTERS NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release September 18th, 2011 LSP Narcotics Investigators make Arrests across Southeast Louisiana Troopers assigned to the Louisiana State Police Narcotics Unit made several arrests this past week seizing dangerous narcotics before distribution into surrounding communities. On September 14th, 2011, troopers working in conjunction with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Task Force and the Berwick Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence in Bayou Vista, LA. During the course of the search, investigators discovered several active and inactive methamphetamine labs, approximately one gram of methamphetamine, assorted drug paraphernalia, and one rifle. As a result, detectives arrested Craig Blanc (W/M age 33), Andrew Goleman (W/M age 28), and Brandon Hill (W/M age 28) all charged with Operating a Clandestine Methamphetamine Lab. Blanc was additionally charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. All three suspects were booked without incident at the St. Mary Parish Jail. On September 15th, 2011, narcotics troopers arrested Kenneth Case, (W/M age 48) of Springfield, LA, following an investigation into alleged “Doctor Shopping.” Troopers’ investigation revealed that Case visited numerous medical offices seeking the same prescription from multiple physicians. Over a 6 month period, Case visited 7 doctors and 7 different pharmacies throughout Livingston and Tangipahoa Parish where he received and filled over 40 prescriptions for controlled dangerous substances. Case was booked into the Livingston Parish Correctional Facility on numerous charges of both “Doctor Shopping” and Prescription Fraud. Upon release from Livingston, Case faces additional charges in Tangipahoa Parish.
