State Police Detectives Seek Suspect in Vehicle Burglary / Credit Card Theft

Baton Rouge – Louisiana State Police Detectives are asking for assistance from the public in helping to locate an individual responsible for a vehicle burglary and credit card theft which occurred in East Baton Rouge Parish.

Detectives were informed that on the afternoon of March 3, 2014, a vehicle was burglarized in the parking lot of the Capital Annex located at 1051 N 3rd Street in downtown Baton Rouge. One of the items stolen from the vehicle was the victim’s ATM card. Shortly after the break-in, several attempts were made to access the victim’s bank account at a nearby convenience store.

The attached surveillance photos show the suspect as he is attempting to use the stolen ATM card at the convenience store. He is described as a white male, average height, slim build, and short dark colored hair with no facial hair. At the time he attempted to use the stolen ATM card he was wearing blue jeans, a black and white striped shirt, a dark long sleeved undershirt with a lighter blue shirt under that.
