STATEWIDE NEWS RELEASE June 13, 2013 Deceased Identified in Chemical Plant Explosion Geismar – Louisiana State Police have identified the individual who was killed in a deadly chemical plant explosion as 29 year old Zachary C. Green of Hammond, LA. Notification of Green’s death has been made to his next of kin by Troopers and a company representative. State Police have opened the following roads in the area surrounding the affected chemical plant: LA Hwy 30 at LA Hwys 73 and 74, LA Hwy 74 at LA Hwy 3115, and LA Hwy 3115 at LA Hwy 75 (River Road). However, the section of LA Hwy 3115 between LA Hwy 30 and LA Hwy 75 near the chemical plant remains closed as emergency personnel continue to investigate this incident. Contact Information: | |||
