Continued Investigation Leads to Discovery of Stolen Vehicles

BATON ROUGE – The continued investigation of a case stemming from a March arrest on Frederick Warner (B/M, age 32) of Prairieville led to additional charges and the recovery of a stolen Ford F-350, a 2004 Porsche Cayenne, and a 2001 Mercedes 320. Detectives with the Louisiana State Police Insurance Fraud and Auto Theft Unit arrested Warner on March 26 in West Baton Rouge for selling a stolen 2007 Ford F-250. After detectives arrested Warner, they continued their investigation into his activities and discovered that Warner had possessed several other stolen vehicles and was using fraudulent Alabama titles to register the stolen vehicles in Louisiana.

Troopers obtained an arrest warrant in East Baton Rouge Parish, charging Warner with violating Louisiana Revised Statute 14:69, Possession of Stolen Things (2 counts), and Louisiana Revised Statute 14:133, Filing False Public Records (4 counts). He remains in the West Baton Rouge Parish Jail from his March 26 arrest.
