State Police Educates Thousands of Students Across Louisiana BATON ROUGE- Since January, Louisiana State Troopers have been traveling around the state with a motivational message for junior and high school students- make the right decision, because with every decision comes consequences. Thanks to the collaborated efforts of State Police, the Louisiana State Troopers Association and Louisiana Troopers Charities, State Police has been able to bring a high intensity motivational video production to teenage students. The program, called “Behind The Faces”, is produced by Motivational Productions and targets students at an age when they are the most vulnerable to peer pressure and destructive decisions. “Behind the Faces” couples real-life scenarios faced by teenagers with music videos and images that relate to the students. Decisions about bullying, peer pressure, teen suicide and impaired driving are addressed during the program. During the three-month period in which State Police gave the presentations, a total of 41,875 viewed the film. Surveys where given to students before and after the program. Across the state, teachers and students consistently emphasized the impact the program had on themselves and their future decision-making. This is the second year State Police has provided this program to the public. The following are the total number of students who were shown the program in each State Police troop area: Troop A - 7900 Troop B - 4450 Troop C - 5000 Troop D - 5000 Troop E - 4325 Troop F - 3750 Troop G - 3000 Troop I - 3200 Troop L - 5250 TOTAL - 41,875 students For more information contact: Sgt.
