Louisiana State Police Cadet Class 90


BATON ROUGE- Today begins the journey for twenty-nine cadets who have made the commitment to serve the citizens of Louisiana as Louisiana State Troopers. These dedicated individuals will report to the Louisiana State Police Training Academy today to start seventeen weeks of intensive learning and training before they can wear the blue and gold uniform of the Louisiana State Police. They were hand-selected for State Police Cadet Class #90 after completing an extensive hiring process.

The seventeen-week academy will include classroom instruction on topics such as state and federal laws, ethics, crash investigation, and impaired driver detection. The cadets will also participate in various field training exercises consisting of scenario-based training, pursuit driving, firearms training, defensive tactics and a rigorous daily physical fitness routine.

These twenty-nine cadets will be the newest of a dedicated group of law enforcement professionals who will bring their knowledge, training, service and professionalism to the citizens of Louisiana.
