| NEWS RELEASE LOUISIANA STATE POLICE COURTESY LOYALTY SERVICE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE DATE: March 13h, 2008 State Police Detectives Arrest Assailant On Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at approximately 12:30 p.m., an employee of the Louisiana Manufactured Housing Commission (LMHC) walked into his employer’s office and threatened her with a gun. Donald Roberts, 63 years old of Zachary, who is employed as an inspector was upset over a salary dispute. Mr. Roberts confronted Deane Frazier, Executive Director of LMHC, and pulled a revolver from his pocket threatening to kill Mrs. Frazier if his salary issue was not resolved. Mrs. Frazier was able to calm Mr. Roberts and diffuse the situation. Mr. Roberts then left the LMHC office. Mrs. Frazier reported the incident to State Police Troop A personnel who notified State Police Detectives. After speaking with Mrs. Frazier, State Police Detectives were able to secure an arrest and search warrant for Mr. Roberts. State Police Detectives located Mr. Roberts at his residence where he was arrested without incident. The revolver suspected in the assault was located in Mr. Roberts’ state vehicle. Mr. Roberts was transported to East Baton Rouge Parish Prison and booked on the charges of Aggravated Assault and Illegal Carrying of a Weapon.
