Edmonson, Superintendent HEADQUARTERS- NEWS RELEASE Burglary Investigation Leads to Drug Arrest BATON ROUGE- On Monday morning, September 20, 2010, Louisiana State Police Detectives arrested a Baton Rouge couple for possession of marijuana after serving a search warrant at their residence. State Police detectives, while assisting Southern University Police Department on a burglary investigation, conducted a search warrant at a residence located at 11021 Plank Rd. While inside of the residence, detectives observed a small bag containing a substance suspected to be marijuana. Kris Washington (B/F, 33 yrs old) and Paul Banks (B/M, 32 yrs old) were located inside the residence at the time the search was conducted. Both subjects were taken into custody and charged with simple possession of marijuana. Washington was employed with the Southern University Police Department as a patrol officer at the time of her arrest. Both Washington and Banks were issued misdemeanor summons and released in lieu of booking. | |||
