HEADQUARTERS NEWS RELEASE Joint Investigation Leads to Arrest of Walker Man on Charges of Child Pornography Walker – On October 20, 2020, Investigators from the Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit – Baton Rouge Field Office in conjunction with the FBI, Louisiana Attorney General’s Office, US Department of Homeland Security, and the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a Livingston Parish man after they learned of his participation in downloading child pornography. 27-year-old Joshua Crochet of Walker was arrested for charges related to possession of child pornography. The initial investigation began earlier this month when Investigators received information Crochet was in possession of child pornography. Investigators obtained a warrant, and on October 20th searched Crochet’s residence. During the search, Investigators found evidence of child pornography. Crochet was arrested and booked into the Livingston Parish Jail for violating LRS 14:81.1 Possession of Pornography Involving Juveniles. This remains an active investigation, and there is no further information available at this time. The LSP Special Victims Unit works to rescue and seek justice for the victims of crimes involving the exploitation of children and the trafficking of humans for sex or labor. The public plays an important role in identifying suspects accused of these crimes, and is urged to report criminal or suspicious activity.
