Edmonson, Superintendent TROOP A - NEWS RELEASE June 22, 2009 Unrestrained Driver Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash BATON ROUGE – A single vehicle crash claimed the life of a young woman last night in West Feliciana Parish shortly after 11:00 pm on LA Highway 10 west of LA Highway 965. Sheryl Ford (W/F, age 29) of St. Francisville was driving a 2005 Dodge Pickup east on LA 10 when she ran off the road to the right, entered a ditch, and struck a culvert. Ford was unrestrained when the crash occurred and was ejected from the pickup. She was pronounced deceased on the scene by the West Feliciana Coroner’s Office. Alcohol is suspected to have been a factor in the crash, and Troopers have submitted a sample of Ford’s blood to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab for chemical analysis.
