Falsified Actions Lead to Arrest and Firing of DPS Officer Baton Rouge – On Monday, October 29, 2018 shortly after 6:00 pm, former DPS Police Officer Chandler LeGrange reported to LSP Communications his involvement with a pursuit and shots fired by a motorcyclist on Juban Road in Livingston Parish. Numerous Troopers and local law enforcement officers responded to the scene and began a search for the reported suspect. LSP Detectives immediately began the investigative process. Subsequently, several inconsistences began to surface regarding the sequence of events as reported by LeGrange. Upon further investigation and questioning, Detectives determined the reported pursuit and shooting were fabricated by LeGrange. LeGrange was charged with Malfeasance in Office and Filing False Public Records. He was booked into the Livingston Parish Jail this afternoon.
