| HEADQUARTERS NEWS RELEASE September 5, 2018 OMV Employee Arrested following LSP Theft Investigation Baton Rouge – On September 5, 2018, Detectives from the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations arrested 25-year-old Dequsha Ingram of Sunshine for Felony Theft, Injuring Public Records, and Computer Fraud. The investigation began when a Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles supervisor was made aware of possible fraudulent transactions by an employee at the Independence Boulevard OMV location in Baton Rouge. LSP Detectives were contacted by the OMV supervisor to conduct an investigation regarding the alleged theft by one of their employees. During the course of their investigation, LSP Detectives determined that Ingram was overcharging customers for various transactions from December 2017 through September 2018. Detectives questioned Ingram regarding these transactions and she admitted to the thefts. LSP Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Ingram for Felony Theft ($5,000-$25,000), Injuring Public Records, and Computer Fraud. Ingram was placed under arrest by Troopers and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
