The suspect has been apprehended and the children are safe. Media questions regarding the case should be directed to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.
July 13, 2014 Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office Searching For Abducted Children Louisiana State Police is issuing a media advisory on behalf of the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office for three children who were abducted early this morning from an apartment on Durand St. in Metairie, LA.
Children: Jessica Nicolle Monterroso, is a 14-year-old hispanic female with black hair and dark colored eyes.
Yojan Manuel Monterroso-Flores, is a 4-year-old hispanic male with black hair and dark colored eyes.
Jafet Abigaitl Monterroso-Monroy, is a 2-year-old hispanic male with black hair and dark colored eyes.
The children were abducted by her father, Pedro Alberto Monterroso-Navas, a 43-year-old hispanic male with brown hair, after he murdered their mother. He was last seen wearing black pants and a blue shirt. He walks with a limp.
As more details are obtained, they will be forwarded to the public. Photos of the suspect along with the 14-year-old and the 2-year-old are attached. Anyone having any information as to the whereabouts of the children and/or suspect should immediately contact the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office at 504-364-5300 or “911”.
