State Police Announce Online Sales of Crash Photographs

Baton Rouge, LA- As technology evolves, the Louisiana State Police (LSP) continues to make improvements and find more effective and efficient ways of conducting business. It has been a goal of LSP to provide the option of ordering crash photographs, over the Internet, to the public. LSP is pleased to announce that this option is now available.

Crash photos are available online at www.lsp.org. Once on our website, please click on the LSP statewide crash reports and photos link for photographs and/or crash reports.

To order, the driver’s or pedestrian’s first and last name, parish of the crash, and date of the crash must be provided. Fatality photographs will not be available online.

Photographs may still be purchased by mail or by phone through the LSP Photo Lab (part of the LSP Crime Lab) for those choosing not to use the new system. The cost for each photograph is $10 and photographs will be maintained on the LSP database for five years.

The purpose of the new system is to increase accessibility to crash photographs for the public and to streamline the purchasing process. Anyone with questions or who requires assistance with the new service may contact the LSP Photo Lab at (225) 925-3518.
